With glorious sunshine for pretty much 12 months of the year, it’s little wonder that Dubai’s stunning beach resort hotels have become a destination in themselves.
With well over 300 of Dubai’s hotels classified as being “on the beach” in Dubai, it can be a pretty overwhelming choice! And what exactly classifies as “on the beach”? Many hotels, such as those in JBR may have beach access but not necessarily their own private beach like they do along the Palm Jumeirah.
Picking out the best of the best beach hotels in Dubai was definitely a challenge! We couldn’t quite top our list at 10 and there were plenty of favourites we had to miss out, but here’s our selection of the top 12 best hotels on the beach in Dubai.

Le Royal Meridien
Opening things off, we couldn’t resist sharing a personal favourite and maybe lesser-known to those outside of the UAE.
Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa is set in 19 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens at the eastern end of JBR. Overlooking the aqua waters of the Arabian Gulf, Le Royal Meridien makes for a gorgeous stay at a 5-star hotel on the beach in Dubai.

The 504 tastefully decorated rooms have stunning ocean views, or look out to the swanky Dubai Marina. Superb facilities, including three swimming pools, an ultra-modern fitness centre and a spa keep all types of travellers happy, including young families, thanks to the Family Kids Club – you can even enjoy a round of crazy golf in the gardens!
The beach resort also features Dubai’s only beachfront boardwalk, where visitors from all corners of the world delight in opulent shops and restaurants. Several water sports are also on offer (additional charge) along the sandy beachfront of Jumeirah Beach.
Fairmont the Palm
Fairmont the Palm invites guests to a blissful stay settled into the exclusive Palm Jumeirah island community. The 5-star beach hotel in Dubai is fit for leisure and business travellers, offering conference and meeting spaces as well as eleven world-class restaurants cooking up a range of flavours from Arabia to South America.
The fitness centres and the award-winning Willow Stream spa are also notable – but it’s the expansive beach frontage and four temperature-controlled swimming pools most will enjoy about this superb beachfront hotel on the trunk of the Palm, facing west towards JBR.

The 391 luxury rooms enjoy wonderful sea views over the Gulf or the sparkling towers of JBR and Dubai Marina. This is a great choice for young families as interconnecting rooms and suites and bedroomed apartments are available for a peaceful night’s sleep.

The Ritz Carlton Dubai
The Ritz-Carlton is situated in the glitzy Marina district at the end of The Walk. This 5-star beach hotel in Dubai has exuberant Mediterranean-style gardens and superb amenities. This is a lovely choice for those looking for a hotel that fuses modern with traditional.

There are 294 luxury rooms with suites featuring a balcony or terrace looking out to the ocean. The waterfront location grants private beach access as well as nearby shopping and entertainment. However, families are not forgotten here, with suites and two-bedroom options available.
Highlights include the Ritz-Carlton Spa complete with its own traditional hammam and Arabian Felix treatment, which uses Dead Sea salt, rosewater and camel’s milk. The Amaseena restaurant also can’t be missed for Bedouin-style al fresco dining. For those looking for a beautiful and exclusive, luxurious beach retreat, this one is for you!
Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Resort & Marina
Not to be confused with the Royal Meridien we described above, Le Meridien Mina Seyahi is another superb 5-star beachfront choice, especially for families and water sports lovers.

You are situated along the section of Jumeirah that sits to the west of the Palm and surrounded by the beautiful Mina Club, gorgeous 1km long white sandy beachfront, five temperature-controlled pools including two shaded kids pool choices, tennis courts, water sports centre and the wonder Le Meridien Kids Club.
The stunning superyachts of Dubai Harbour by Merass are immediately adjacent.
The generously sized rooms can all fit up to 4 guests with Deluxe Rooms, Club Rooms and Suites available and a vast range of dining choices – the Latest Recipe being a popular family brunching spot in Dubai.
Atlantis the Palm
This 5-star luxury hotel is probably one of the city’s most well-known and iconic resorts, with an ocean theme to complement its location by the waters of the Arabian Gulf on the iconic Palm Island.
Families will love one of the best beach hotels in Dubai featuring on-site Atlantis Aquaventure, the city’s biggest aquarium and arguably one of the best water parks that will entertain kids for hours on end.

Couples and foodies alike can enjoy an impressive range of award-winning celebrity chef restaurants, with the likes of Gordon Ramsey and Ronda Locatelli serving up their creations. Ossiano restaurant also offers an otherworldly dining experience as fish, stingrays, and sharks swim beside your table behind huge window walls.

Jumeirah Beach Hotel

Downtown Dubai is only a 20-minute drive for easy visits to the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall.

Bulgari Resort Dubai
Bulgari Resort Dubai is a special place and undoubtedly one of Dubai’s most unique hotel resorts. It’s located on man-made Jumeirah Bay, an island shaped like a seahorse. Then there’s the private Marina and Bulgari Yacht Club with unrivalled views overlooking the sea.
Accommodation choices include twenty Bulgari villas with a private pool and garden or sea views. Come here if you wish to be spoilt; bespoke luxury services for guests look like packing and unpacking assistance, in-room dining and Berluti shoe shine.

Gourmet restaurants and cafes, plus the oval-shaped freestanding bar and mosaic swimming pool at the exclusive beach club, make Bulgari a sumptuous island oasis. And yes, it does, of course, have its own private beach! There are 14 private cabanas which can be hired, as well as water sports on offer – even a Little Gems Kids Club!
Jumeirah al Qasr Madinat Jumeirah
Jumeirah Al Qasr, or ‘Palace’, was inspired by the summer residences of the Sheikhs and is a match made in heaven for lovers of traditional luxury. This Beach hotel in Dubai oozes Arabian elegance and sits atop the graceful waterways of the city’s Madinat Jumeirah complex – it’s truly the central jewel of this man-made ‘city’ resort.

Guests can relish in the private beach and no less than eleven pools, including a 25m lap pool. Over forty restaurants are peppered throughout the resort providing unlimited flavours and dining venues to choose from.
Four Seasons Resort
Welcome to a lavish beachside playground with the azure Arabian Gulf waters to the west and the Dubai cityscape to the east. The Four Seasons Resort is a luxury experience at Jumeirah Beach.

This resort will not disappoint those looking for a superior stay in Dubai with a private beach. The two outdoor swimming pools and spa are beautiful, along with another indoor pool and state-of-the-art fitness centre.
Open-air sundowners at their Mercury Lounge with views of the Burj Khalifa is a once in a lifetime experience. Active holiday-makers will also get their thrills with ocean water sports like kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding.
Caesars Palace Bluewaters
Travellers seeking Dubai hotels with beach, entertainment, and comfort will want to check out Caesars Palace, located on lifestyle destination Bluewaters. The 5-star hotel offers 194 luxury accommodations and brilliant facilities, with private access to white sands and blue waters. There’s also attached Caesars Resort Bluewaters.
The signature Qua Spa and fitness centre will prepare you for evenings out at six cutting-edge restaurants, bars and lounges. Awesome views of the world’s largest observation wheel, Ain Dubai, are also a highlight. Bluewaters is quickly becoming one of Dubai’s hottest waterfront addresses.
JA The Resort
JA The Resort is the largest beach hotel in Dubai, with the resort sprawling over 128 acres. The 5-star hotel boasts 800 meters of beach and has everything you could dream of. This is the perfect place for those who like unlimited possibilities with their holidays.

There are three hotels within the resort; the JA Beach Hotel which overlooks the Gulf shore, offering 235 rooms, a private marina and lush gardens. JA Palm Tree Court is perfect for families, and the 208 suites are just a stone’s throw from the sea.
JA Lake View Hotel has amazing views of the resort’s 9-hole championship golf course, three outdoor swimming pools, and five dining experiences.
This resort sits a little further away from the main attractions of the city, about 20 minutes beyond Dubai Marina & JBR on the Gulf Coast. Taxis are, therefore a little more expensive and a longer commute to DXB airport, but this resort hotel absolutely makes up for it in spades with the generous resort offering at very affordable prices.

One&Only Royal Mirage
Possibly saving one of the most stunning for last – The One&Only Royal Mirage enchants guests with 65 acres of manicured gardens and a kilometre of private sand and sea with views onto the Palm Island Bay landscape. Private beaches in Dubai don’t get much more scenic and photogenic than this one.

Guests partial to a glamorous and peaceful stay will love exploring the lavish and spacious grounds with intricate Arabic details, fountains and arches. The eye-catching Arabesque architecture houses secluded villas and private suites for a tranquil and private experience.
Nine high-class restaurants, four temperature-controlled swimming pools and countless experiences available will please every traveller – definitely get One & Only Royal Mirage Dubai onto your beach holiday wish-list.
